an internal print shop to cognizant cards & Collectibles

Located in Pompano Beach, FL, Cognizant Cards & Collectibles is a hobby store stocked with the latest Topps, Pokémon, and other trading cards & services.

In January of 2025, the owner wanted to expand beyond cards, figures, and plushes and create an in-house print shop. With my previous Valero experience, we grew the print shop together from the ground up.

That said, I created the logo for the print shop, Galaxy Graphics & Prints, that clash with celestial themes and digital design as seen by the Pen Tool-inspired rocket head, symmetrical geometry, dashed lines, and anchor points.

The bottom right highlights the custom shirt tags for our custom shirt products.

Valero

During my time interning at Valero, at had the opportunity to create deliverables for both campaigns, both internally and externally.

Internally, I worked on a flu shot campaign, an October workout schedule campaign, and the Get Outside Valero event hosted by Valero's Total Wellness department. For interns specifically, I did the email invite for National Interns' Day!

Externally, beyond the headquarters, I worked on hard hat stickers, fundraising events, and custom signage amongst the refineries.

One of my biggest events that I contributed to was United Way's 10th Annual BBQ Showdown hosted by Valero. In particular, I worked on the sponsor, stage, and tent banners, as well as other deliverables.

A Rebrand

Focusing on a small local business in the Bryan/College Station area, I chose this coffee shop to help update its graphics for more readability across all products, being more modern while sticking to the roots of the family crest.

The Modern Impact of Mushrooms - Infographic

Personally, I have always loved mushrooms, whether it was on a pizza or salad it is a must!

So when I took on an elective course my senior year of college, I enrolled in a course called "Molds & Mushrooms."

It was through this course I learned that mushrooms surrounded our lives and have made historical impacts across plants, animals, and medicine.

With my newfound knowledge, I applied it to my 36"x12" infographic project in my Graphic Design II course. I focused on an earthy tone with design elements that coincide with the particular subject such as Sudden Oak Death, but also transitioned down the page to the next subject, Chestnut Blight.

The end goal was to make a lot of bioscience terminology and knowledge more understandable to the typical viewer with design elements, aiming to have more retention in the terminology and impact.

Connecting Mothers Initiative (CMI)

In September, I became a Social Media Graphic Design Intern for CMI, a start-up non-profit organization seeking to unite mothers with resources, helpful stories, insights, and a sense of community in this digital age.

With their socials only beginning in April and having an ever-developing brand guide, it's a blessing and an opportunity to grow alongside the organization.
